Meteora is a UNESCO world heritage monument, known from the monasteries hanged on the edges of the rocks. But Meteora is also a destination with unrevealed paths and beauties. Let us lead you through the secret trails between the rocks. Hike with us and uncover hidden monasteries, ruins of the Byzantine era and experience a journey of history and legends from ancient Greece and the Byzantine Empire, until today.
The tour starts by picking you up from your hotel. You will visit the Hermit Caves of Badovas and you will continue through the tradinional village of Kastraki. You will hike uphill to explore the 'Prisons' of the monks. After getting through the oak forest of Meteora we will reach the rock of Psaropetra to enjoy the Sunset. Then our vehicle will take you back to your hotel.

Join us for a morning adventure! This circle-hike of 8 klm will make you explore Meteora as you could never imagine! Avoid crowds and traffic. Get free time to visit one moanstery inside( Varlaam or Great Meteoron, depending on the day). Walk on your pace and enjoy nature. Our local knowledgeable guides will make your trip to Meteora an unforgettable memory.

You are entitled to 80% of the booking amount up to 48 hours and 50% of the booking amount up to 24 hours.
Your reservation can be made whenever you wish, even at the last minute. However, there is a high chance that there might not be (an) available seat(s) for you on the train/bus, given that the train is almost always fully booked at the last minute or there will be no hotel room available, mostly on the high-season.
Visitors and pilgrims must adhere to a dress code in order to enter the monasteries. Women are required to wear skirts that extend below the knee and ensure their shoulders are covered. Similarly, men should wear long pants, preferably, or shorts that also reach below the knee, with their shoulders covered. This dress code is enforced to maintain the sanctity and reverence of the monastic environment.
The monasteries that we visit is not always the same since their hours vary and some of them are closed on certain days. Usually, the monasteries we visit are: the Great Meteoro or Varlaam.
All monasteries have an entrance fee of €5, per person.
