We're happy to offer free pick-up services from your accommodation in either Kalampaka or Kastraki, provided our minibus can access the location. If not, we'll coordinate a convenient meeting point nearby for your pick-up.
Given that Trikala is situated 21 kilometers from Kalambaka, direct pick-up isn't feasible from there. However, we're more than happy to assist you by providing suggestions on how you can reach Kalambaka to join the tour. Feel free to reach out to us, and we'll offer guidance to ensure your smooth participation.
Tours operate as usual unless weather conditions are extreme. In such cases, you can choose to reschedule, switch activities, or cancel for a refund.
Of course you can!
You can make a reservation at any time, even last minute. However, there's a possibility that seats may not be available.
On this tour, we always visit 3 monasteries and stop around Meteora at the most panoramic spots for you to enjoy the view and take pictures. However, the monasteries we visit are not always the same, depending on the day and/or other special occasions/circumstances (e.g. holidays, religious celebrations etc.).
Visitors and pilgrims must adhere to a dress code in order to enter the monasteries. Women are required to wear skirts that extend below the knee and ensure their shoulders are covered. Similarly, men should wear long pants, preferably, or shorts that also reach below the knee, with their shoulders covered. This dress code is enforced to maintain the sanctity and reverence of the monastic environment.
All monasteries feature, on average, 200 to 250 steps, except for The Nunnery of St. Stephen, which boasts a small bridge instead. It's important to note that while we strive to accommodate accessibility needs during tours, the inclusion of The Nunnery of St. Stephen may vary depending on tour type, day, and/or other special circumstances.
