We can pick you up from your accommodation in Kalampaka or Kastraki, as long as our minibus can drive there. Otherwise, we will arrange a meeting point nearby from where we will pick you up.
Since the city of Trikala is 21 kilometers from the town of Kalambaka, we can pick you up from your accommodation at an extra cost. Otherwise, we can contact you with some suggestions as to how you can get to Kalampaka in order for you to join the tour.
Our tours run as normal, unless the weather conditions are extreme. In this case, you have the option to either change the date or the activity or cancel and get a refund.
Of course you can!
Given that private tours require a little bit more planning on our behalf in order for you to receive the best service, we suggest you book a private tour, at least, 24 hours prior to the tour's starting time.
Since this is a private tour, you get to choose how many and which monasteries you will visit.
Visitors and pilgrims are required to follow a dress code in order to enter the monasteries. Women must wear a skirt (reaching below the knee) and have their shoulders covered. Men must wear long pants (preferably) or shorts (reaching below the knee) and have their shoulders covered, as well.
All monasteries have, on average, 200-250 steps each (with the exception of The Nunnery of St. Stephen, which has only a small bridge).
